About Us
We're the ones who love and, despite loss, we're learning to live on.
This site is designed to support the partners of people who expect to die before retirement age. A terminal diagnosis interrupts everything, for the patient and the people they share their life with. Many of our team were widowed young, some of us have kids, and all of us know how viciously uncertain life with a serious illness can be.
We know how painful anticipatory grief and actual bereavement are, because we showed up to care for our person through an incurable illness, and we were there until the end.
Nobody knows how to do this, until it must be done. When you're given a terminal diagnosis, everything gets interrupted – decades of shared experience, probably a mortgage, a job and everything else you built together. We exist to help you make the most of your precious time together, in the messy middle, when there are no answers.
Everything here came from people who've lived alongside terminal illness. We've shared what helped us after diagnosis and through uncertainty, so you can navigate your own unwanted path.
Where Are You Now?
If there's no cure for your partner then this site is for you. A life-limiting illness, such as late-stage cancer, advanced cardiac disease or motor neurone disease, is tough to navigate. It's extremely challenging for patients and devastating for those who love them. We know that when your world falls apart you need space to think clearly. That's why we're here.
